Unlock with your PIN
You're signed in. Enter your PIN to derive your encryption key. Your PIN never leaves this device.
Enter PIN
Why this step exists
Gnosis encrypts your memories with a key derived from your PIN through OPAQUE — a zero-knowledge protocol where the server only sees blinded values. We need your PIN to derive that key locally and bind your current session to it. Without this step, reads against your encrypted rows would fail.
⚠ Permanently delete encryption state
This action cannot be undone. Read carefully before continuing.
What you will lose
- Your old PIN (cannot be recovered)
- Your previous encryption key (K_user)
- Your previous 12-word recovery code
- Encryption protection on memories saved before today
What you keep
- All your stored memories (still readable)
- Your account, email, sign-in, and agents
- Your collections and memberships
- The ability to set a fresh PIN immediately after
Type this sentence exactly to confirm:
delete my encryption state
Can't get in right now?
Two safe ways forward — neither deletes anything:
Have your 12-word recovery code? Recover with your code — sets a new PIN without losing any memories.
Just need to step away — to go find your PIN or your recovery code, or you landed on the wrong account? Sign out of this browser and come back any time. Nothing is deleted: your memories, your PIN, and your recovery code are all kept, and the same PIN unlocks everything again.
Lost both your PIN and your 12-word recovery code, with no other way in? There is one last resort, and it permanently destroys your encryption key: show the irreversible delete option.
What we send to the server
Blinded OPAQUE handshake messages and (only after the handshake completes locally) your data-encryption key wrapped under an ephemeral bearer-KEK that only this active session knows. Your PIN does not leave this browser.
